HealOnline can connect you with a licensed doctor so you can get the help or advice you need. Based on your consultation, our doctors can issue new prescriptions and renew existing prescriptions; they can also provide sick notes for school or work for short absences. Our doctors can also order lab work, provide lab requisitions or provide referrals to other health care professionals.

Yes. If appropriate, our licensed doctors can issue a prescription at the end of your consultation; it can even be sent to your pharmacy of choice. Our doctors’ prescriptions are accepted by pharmacies throughout Canada; your medication will be prepared and made available for pick-up or delivery by them.
Can I get a sick note or doctor’s note through HealOnline? Yes, during booking your appointment you can request the doctor provide you with a sick note and they will send you one via secure message. This note is stored in your account under both secure messages and past visits.
Our doctors are certified Canadian physicians, who have years of experience. Each of our doctors goes through a rigorous selection process to become a part of the HealOnline family.
HealOnline is designed for on-demand care, so an appointment is necessary. After you register and log in to HealOnline, doctors who are available for a same-day visit will appear on the search results with the soonest closest appointments on the top. You can browse doctor profiles and select who you want to see by scheduling an appointment. If no one is available for an appointment on the same day, you will be able to schedule an appointment for the next day/week at your convenience.
In most cases, your provincial health care plan covers the costs of the services being delivered by HealOnline. In circumstances where that wouldn’t be the case, our doctor will let you know so you can decide how best to proceed.
